Diprolene AF Uses

Diprolene AF is a moderate to potent glucocorticoid steroid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive abilities used especially where water retention is unwanted. It is applied as a topical cream, ointment, lotion or gel to treat itching (e.g. from eczema).

How Taken

Apply a thin film of Diprolene AF Cream to the affected skin area once or twice daily. Treatment with Diprolene AF Cream should be limited to 45 g per week.

Diprolene AF Warnings

This medication is to be used as directed by a physician and should not be used longer than the prescribed period of time. It is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use this medication for any disorder other than that for which it was prescribed. The treated skin area should not be bandaged or otherwise covered or wrapped as to be occlusive.

Diprolene AF Missed Dose

If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time for the next dose skip the missed dose and resume your usual dose schedule. Do not double your dose to catch up.

Diprolene AF Possible Side Effects

Adverse reactions reported to be possibly or probably related to treatment with Diprolene AF Cream during a pediatric clinical study include signs of skin atrophy (telangiectasia, bruising, shininess).

Diprolene AF Storage

Store between 2°and 30°C (36° and 86° F).

Diprolene AF Overdose

Topically applied Diprolene AF can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to produce systemic effects. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

Diprolene AF Cream is contraindicated for patients who are hypersensitive to betamethasone dipropionate, to other corticosteroids, or to any ingredient in this preparation.
